Ice conditions on Pineview or Causey?
#1
Just trying to get some first hand info from anyone that has been on either of these lakes on Thursday or might get on them later today. I know TD was on PV on Monday but this warm weather has me worried about trying it on Saturday. I plan on hitting PV Saturday morning with a plank, just in case[Wink] but thought I would go to Causey if PV was too scary. Can anyone help me out with some new info? Thanks. WH2

We got there this morning about 6:30, we were the first ones on the ice in the narrows. It was raining but we went on down and tried it any way. Some one had left a big floor joice(spelling), at the shore, so getting on the ice was no problem but there is several feet of open water that you must cross. Ice was a little solf on top but not bad and no cleats were needed. Holes from the day before were still open, if it stays like that much longer the ice will be gone even though it was over 12 inches thick.
