hit the canal with about 60 other well meaning souls on saturday morning. after MUCH work and observations..the skippies are gone for the year. The canal was full of gizzard shad and not much else. Bagged the mornin, bought some worms at the busy bee and caught a few gills under the bridge at yellow creek.
Summmation....the big baitfish are gone for the winter, however it would seem the spring spawn will be in full swing before long
