Went to the Gorge on Saturday. We stopped by Swim Beach and fished from shore for a while. Got a couple of good bites but that was it. The DWR came down for a survey. He had not heard of any good reports. You know, "Should have been here last week". Said it has slowed down a bit. We got my Coleman tent trailer out of dry storage and decided to camp off the beaten path. We went clear back to Anvil and set up camp. Fished a little bay next to camp, but no bites. We moved around quite a bit and tried just about everything from bait, jigs and lures but couldn't find any fish. I thought for sure a Jakes was the ticket but had to give up. Needless to say but I did cure my cabin fever but got a case of the hang overs!! Slept in on Sunday and came home. About 15 trucks with boat trailers in the parking lot. Not the best fishing but still a nice weekend!!
