Rockport
#1
I decided to take the night off of studying Immunology and Pharmacology and headed up to Rockport. Started at around 6:30 at the north end at the dam. Took advantage of my two pole permit but couldn't buy a bite. The wind was blowing pretty hard and by the time it stopped (around 7:45) the thunder and lightning came and kicked me out without any fish. I saw one other angler up there but he didn't look like he was having much success either. Anyway, I think this was a sign that I should have been at home studying instead of fishing... Oh, well.[unimpressed]

Welcome aboard Chad. Too bad the rock didnt work out tonight! That wind can make any fishing trip slow!!How is the water level there? M.H.

I feel your pain on the struggle between studying and fishing! But, ya know, there comes a point in a man's life where he's just gotta say no to Immunology and Pharmacology! Sorry ya got skunked, thanks for the report.

You know I actually haven't been up there in years so I don't actually have a reference point of whether it is up or down. Directly down from the parking area where the rocks are quite so abundant, there is a spot where it levels off a bit. I don't know if that helps or not but I just don't know much about the typical levels. sorry

Don't worry, you'll get 'em next time. It might not be a bad idea to take your books with you fishing. Set up a lawn chair, cast out some bait, and do some studying. Just remember to watch your pole. Sometimes when i'm fishing I'll take a nap and just wrap the line around my finger or toe so that when I get I bite I can feel it. (Who knows how many bites i've had without knowing it.)
Have fun!
