In reply to an advertisement
#1
Hey Jimmy, feel free to register and join all the fun here. I was asked this same question by a friend a couple of weeks ago. Like anything else, if it's a general tool it won't work as well as a specified tool for the job. No I wouldn't buy one.

EDIT:
I deleted the original post on accident. Without removing the replies these guys are responding to a question about a not-so-quality compact fishing rod.

It looks like a very expensive deal for such a cheap product. It looks like they are using the Shakesphere reels too.

I give this one a 2 thumbs down[pirate]

agreed, looks like much to do about nothing, It may have a place for ice fisherman, (debatable) as for being an owner of three telocopic rods that stay in my tacklebox and are my primary rods because of their praticality. they do every thing but ice fishing and go every where mentioned in the advertisement with greater fishing atvantages a pocket fisherman cant offer...

one of my rods is even a convertable, meaning it doubles as a spinning rod and a fly rod by inverting the handle..

the steel rod looks like a lightning rod, last thing I want while stanting on the water is to be a target with a bulls eye painted on my hand for a bolt of lightning......

if some one were to send one to me, I would deffentantly give it a go on a fair weather day, but untill it proves otherwise I will look at it like the pocket fisherman with out the pocket. Now I wond condem it intirely because like I said it may have some pratical use, ice fishing, jigging streight down below the boat, fishingfrom a bridge if leagle in your state.. Ya, we are talking limited pratical use at best...
