I need to get my kids into some fish this weekend. Is Bird island a good bet? Has anyone been there recently? Is there a better spot to get them on some white bass? Thanks.

Think shallow for this weekend. If its white bass you want to target no need to run to the island. The inlets should be full of white bass. Also the cats should be closer to shore.Provo state park is a good place to target both species.The north side has been good for cats and eyes ad the inlet is always awesome for white bass. If the timing is right your kids will have a blast! My kids always do. [Wink]
