Willard, Finally
#1
[shocked] Finally got the boat out made it through the road construction up to Willard for a few hours of fishing. Trolled the North Dike to no avail. Trolled by the light Pole, and the trench to no avail. Threw grubs, rattle traps, and xraps near the dike, to no avail (one bump on the xrap). But I did end up picking up two 16" wipers and a big carp sucker trolling through the middle. One on a silver/black strike king lipless and the other on a Emerald Storm Thunderstick. Both fish caught in about 12.5 feet of water. Water from 59 degrees near the light pole to over 63 when I left about 11:30. Not a lot of fish graphed, and very few birds around. Launching at the North marina was no problem, as long as you don't stray too far from the center of the channel. Next stop, Lake Powell this next weekend.

Two Wipers and a day fishin' is better than wondering how you'd be doin' if you were out there! Thanks for the report! Good luck at Powell.

The bugs weren't bad. Hardly any early, but later it seemed like the further East you went the thicker they got. All in all, a nice day.
