I fished the View from the tube on Saturday evening with one thing in mind - CRAPPIE! Well, I had to go through 3 other types of fish before I caught the one I was after. After catching 2 nice smallmouths (18" and 16"), 2 tigermuskies (26", 34" and yes on a crappie jig), and a carp, I finally found some crappie. I end up with 4 nice size fish all around 13". Its good to see that the crappie population is doing well this year. All fish were released and unharmed.

How shallow did you find the crappie, have they moved shallow to their spawning areas yet? WH2

All of the fish were caught in about 6-8' water around some brush.

Sounds like the spawn is getting close, what was the water temp? WH2
