GUYS,WHAT HAVE YOU HAD THE BEST SUCESS WITH LATELY AT DEER CREEK? I WAS ALSO WONDERING IF IT IS ABSOULUTELY NECCESSARY TO TAKE THE BOAT, OR IS THERE GOOD FISHING TO BE HAD FROM THE SHORE??

YOU CAN FISH MANY PLACES FROM SHORE. BUT A BOAT IS ALWAYS BEST AT DC. TROLL RAPALAS. OR CAST TUBE JIGS AND TWISTER TAILS UP INTO SHORELINES.

anywhere you can seafely move around by the island are always good. i like to either drop shot or jig fish there for bass. if you drop shot bring lots of wieghts, they snagg in the rocks and you lose a bunch. if you want more trout fishign from the walsburg channel is usually pretty good. use normal trout baits and lures and you will do just fine

I troll for trout with humdingers or cripplures behind two sling blades or a rapalla by itself both about 20' down on a downrigger. This has been productive for me. Monday my six-year old caught 2 walleye and I caught 2 bows on the north west end.
