Colorado River Question

I'll be down in Moab (along with a billion other people) this memorial day weekend and am camping along the river in the canyon there. Does anybody have any recommendations or tips for fishing that part of the river? Its big and fast and I'm more used to smaller rivers/creeks. I'll have both spinning and fly gear there, so any tip will help.

Catfishing can be awesome in that area. I've never caught anything big, but I've had lots of fun catching 12-15 inch cats. Just find some eddies or backwaters, slow enough to hold a cat. Crawlers, livers, or frozen cut bait works good. Your biggest problem could be the flows, which tend to be high this time of year. If the river is rockin' you may have a hard time finding slow enough water to fish. Good luck.
