Scofield help.. Soon Please

Hello all. Due to the planning ineptness of friends and family my Moab trip has been cancelled.[pirate]

Soooo. I'm heading to Colorado to visit fam and friends. On the way I want to stop at Scofield and fish for a while. Never been there. Does anybody have tips of good areas to hit up. I don't want to have to drive around all morning looking for a spot and miss the morning bite. Any fishing tips and tactics would also be greatly appreciated.

A good place to fish from a boat is all around the island just south of the marina. I catch a lot of fish trolling triple teasers, crystalina spoons, Carter spoons, and flat fish behind pop gear. If you are fishing from shore, fish on the shore west of the island. From the shore the fish will hit fish egg sacs, minnows, nightcrawlers with small marshmellow to keep the worm above the weeds, and power bait.
