Recieved a call friday evening from a few buddies asking if I could help them find some perch at pineview sat morning. Being a running joke that perch is the only fish I can catch, I kinda had to agree immediately. We hit the shores about 8:00 am near cemetary pt. Using worms and a green 1 inch grub, under a bobber, i immediately scored a nice sized perch. Moments later, each of the boys began pulling up bite size fish. After about 9:00 we had 5 keepers and the bite had slowed. we decided to take a break and hit went at it again at 11:00. from 11:00 to 2:00 us four boys caught & released about 3 billion perch and some bluegill. (sorry no pics, camera was there but the catching was so fast and furious that nobody wanted to grab it) about 10 of the 3 billion were keepers but it was great fun. There were kids all around us catching fish and that was great to see. We even managed to trick 2 carp into taking a worm. What a great day. For those that don't have access to a boat and want to get some kids addicted and excited about fishing from the shore, Pineview Perchin' is where its at.
