Heading on up to West Yellow stone for a long weekend. Never fished it, any advice for that area....I will be using fly rod, couple kids with spin combo's, wife with credit card shopping.

Listen to the advice from the local fly shops. They won't steer you wrong.

That is good advice from Don but be prepared to take it the hard way if you buy your flies in West. You might want to give one of the local shops a call first and ask about the hot flies and then try to buy them locally.

As Don said, hit the fly shops in West. I used to hang out around there in June all the time, and Hebgen Lake has some nice fish close by. I'd also hit Henry's Lake, just over the little hill in Idaho, a short drive from West Y. For rivers, check the Madison between Hebgen and Quake Lake. Not as busy as the famouus stretch below Quake. And that "famous" stretch is good now too with nymphs, and the caddis and should be just starting.
The shops in West will have their fingers on all of it, and they're nice shops for you with a credit card too!!!
