millstone river, NJ 7/18/07

went fishing on the millstone tonight.... i went out at 7pm and fished till about 10:30 pm on the boat. .... yea i know not a long trip but i ran out of bait. i got about 3 dozen cats.. and about 10 eel... i also missed alot of fish. the catfish ranged from 5" to 22". i used cut chub and worms for bait... i fished the bottom. i was using 1/4 oz sinker about 16" from the hook. the hook was a #4 size. i fished in the hillsboro area ...at least i think it was the hillsboro area could have been as far up as millstone.

Thanks for the report you have some good info packed in there. I'll be up in Jersey in late September for some tuna but also plan to hit the power plant for some carp action. If I'm lucky I'll be able to get out on a private lake for some crappie fishing too.
