We went to newton this morning was the first ones to launch the ramp is all messed up so we launched to the east of it in the dirt and it worked out great first fish was a 33 inch tiger musky that my son caught and as he was holding it up for the camera it fliped and he lost control after that we hooked a few more tigers but they got of so we went after some bass caught about 50-60 bass as well as some blue gills and perch the biggest bass was a LMB 20" and fat my wife caught the lake was starting to get busy so we headed home early

[black]Hey Matt,[/black]
Great report and pictures. Looks like you really have that body of water wired. Every trip you make seem successful.

Looks like the water is down from "high water". Is that the reason the boat ramp is not good?

Great looking fishing partners, your son looks like he's an old hand at catching them.

Yea the water is down so the last of the boat ramp is a drop off but its just as easy with the water low to launch to the east of it i have had good luck at newton and hope it stays that way my little fishing partners (my sons) say that catching muskys where there arms out so they like the bass lol my youngest will unhook every fish and my oldest wont but he will have to get used to it

[#808000]Good on ya for getting them boys on some fish! I did have to laugh though, when I first brought up the Utah board my cursor was covering the B in Bass in your title, and I thought you were one daring sucker for saying your wife had a Big Bass.LOL Nice fish she caught though.[/#808000]

I would really like to fish newton, it sounds like it is really fishing well right now, but I'm really nervous of the ramp situation, how big of a boat are you launching off the dirt next to the ramp? How firm is the bottom?

Im Launching a 18 Foot inboard but im seeing bigger boats out there alot of them are still using the ramp but it has a drop of in it and i dont want to take a chance the ground where ive been launching is solid you dont have to go to far in because its more at an angle so my back wheels dont even touch the water and my boat goes off with ease good luck if you decide to go

Thanks I will. I have been wanting to get into a tiger for sometime. We never go to pine view because of the traffic. I'm just not too sure about catching a muskie from a tube.
