I went tubing out to Willard Sunday morning. I wouldn't recomend anybody taking their boats out of the south marina unless it is a small one. I was touching bottom from the ramp to where you enter the channel and in spots in the channel. And I have a sit in tube so my legs were bent. This was the first time I had been out there since it got lower and I can't believe how low it is. Places where I had floated over before were way out of the water. Also if you do take the boat out there go straight for a long ways out of the channel. To the right I was in knee deep water for atleast 50 yards. I walked half the way in. No fish to report but just wanted to let you boater guys know about the depth. I saw a few boats out there in fact a little flat bottom was heading out the same time as me and he was bouncing his prop off the mud. heading into the channel from the ramp.

Sounds like slow fishing? I talked with a guy at Anglers Den (bad with names) and he has heard reports of people nailing fish IN the channel with various white/blue swimbaits. Any info on that?

Conditions may be better in the North marina. Just be careful.

There has been one guy on here that has made several post about catching wipers where the water comes into the channel of the south marina, he claims to have caught many wipers while tossing a yellow grub or something like that. He is a new guy on the site so I don't know him but the water might be cooler there. WH2
