Wednesday, 09/12/07- Hit the water at about 4:00 p.m. Spent the afternoon and evening with my pard Don fishing Spinnow jigs.
This is how it ended:

Ended up with 16 stripers, here are a few of them.

Enjoyed a great Lake Mead sunset.

Stripers seemed to hit equally on the drop, the burn up, and jigging action. We fished in over 100 feet of water.

These were the ticket tonight! 2.5 oz. Spinnow jigs. What a great evening on the water, can't wait to do it again!

[black]So you got Captain Don on a jig bite! Will wonders never cease? Was he bummed out about not boil chasing? Looks to me you caught enough fish to make him happy though. [/black]

[cool]Hey BaySport, I like the looks of those spinnow jigs. Where can I by some of those? Do they come in other colors? By the way, great job on the catch. Thanks in advance.

Spinnows are great! The only place I know of where they can be purchased locally is Laker Plaza. They are not cheap, paid $43.00 for the four pictured. Might do better online at www.buzzbombzzinger.com .

No doubt Bro, you've got to pay to play! Spinnows should be the ticket! Lake Mead stripers love them, don't see why those powell stripers will be any different. If you get into any surface activity try jigging one deep at the edge of the boil. Let them down fast, jig several times, and burn it back up. At 2.5 oz. you'll get a good workout! Can't wait to see how you all do,take pictures! I won't miss the next trip.
