I read those posts already but I was looking for more specific info, like if their is a lot of people fishing or are the fish spawning or cruising the shore line or if somebody has had any success yet.

Remember Flies and Lures only and one fish over 22" at Minersville.

I haven't been there much this spring, because the truck that I keep down there is in dire need of a new battery, work hasn't given me any time down there to go, and for the last three weeks and the next three weeks, I've been taking care of my newborn son, and his mother. But I'll tell ya this about Minersville. This time of year especially, the fish are in water no more than 15 feet deep or so. If you are fishing deeper than that you are probably going to catch fewer fish, and smaller fish.

There is a good ramp. i don't know how much Beaver County charges to use it now that they took it over.

There is almost never a crowd down there. It's too far for a lot of people to go without knowing a few of the secrets.

Good luck,
Fishrmn

Unfortunately, since the latest round of low water/rotenone treatment I haven't gotten to Minersville in a while, but I am sure a few things still hold true. My favorite way to fish there in the early spring has been out of a float tube tossing sinking line toward shore. By the far the most productive fly for me has been a modified olive wooly bugger. (if anyone wants a little more infor on this one send me a PM and I can tell you what it looks like and/or how to tie it) I usually follow this one with a pattern known as the "rockchuck". I know you can get some at Hurst sports in St. George for a pattern and then possibly tie your own. Later in the year I have done fairly well trolling #5 floating rapalas in either fire tiger or rainbow along the shroeline. All this is making me eager to get down there! Hopefully by the end of next week! Good luck!

Living fairly close to this Lake (30 min) I fish it alot durning spring/fall The summer months water temp gets to warm and they get the parasite as Otter Creek fish does so it turns me off. Heck this is one of the major lakes I hunt ducks at just to give ya a idea of the time I spend there

When ya get ready to head pop me a pm and I'll give ya a pattern that gives me pretty good luck. Heck if my back is feeling better I'll even meet ya there and we can visit and I'll show ya what I use.

If you come thru Cedar stop by the house and at the very lease stop at Ace Hardware ask for either Paul or Josh and have them give ya a local pattern

I have yet after fishing this water for 35 years had days like others have had but I know I can go there and catch fish [crazy]

I will say this when all else fails think red [blush] oops I let that slip
