Echo report
#1
Echo is getting pretty low, but the fish are still in there. Spent the night up there last Sat/Sun (15th&16) Got in late Sat. woke up early Sun. morning and started with the worm. Caught apx 10 crappie in 15 min. It was breezy and cold so I decided to go back to bed. My uncle showed up with the boat at 9am. We were trolling spinners and were catching them pretty steady(all Rainbows) we caught two that went for 16in + the rest (apx. 8) were 10-12in. The best part was we basically had the whole lake to our selfs. There were a few people on shore, and 2 or three jetskiers, and one other boat. My only complaint was the wind which finally drew us off the water about 1:00. All in all it was a great day the fish seemed to favor yellow rostertails but they hit almost every spinner. We tried a few minnow lures (Rapala rainbows) but no hits on those.[Wink]

i played hookie from work and went up there on tuesday, didnt get to fishin until 11:30 or so, i was on the East side just down from the dam by the point, (or what use to be a point)i was fishin off the shore cause i took the dog to play mostly, but I got in the perch pretty steady and ended up with my limit and a tired dog to take home, they were eating up the worms on the bottom, alot of little guys that i threw back if i got their lips, alot of fun though.

[cool]Hmmm...that's good to hear about the perchies. Perhaps they are finally starting to make a comeback in there. I might have to icefish it this year. Never done that at Echo...
