Brody,
Thanks. You could not have summed it up any better. I heard a rumor that there could be a little bad carma coming his way. Seems that there are a group of folks out there that feel like we all do. They are doing everything in their power to shut him down. either he or one of his puppets parked his truck across the road to block off an area. Someone hooked up to it with a chain and ripped all the drive lines out from under it. [sly][sly] Now that is some Funny Shizzle!

i herd about some moore shizle his boys did this yr on 2 diffent bulls. other hunters were close to some bulls he had pre sold to clients. he had guides camped on these 2 differnt bulls. herd he told the guides to call him with updates on the elk. when 2 guys moved in on a bull he told the guide to spook the bull. the guide came running down the mountain yelling waving his arms. the elk blew out. both were bow hunts. o i herd about that truck thing. i think some guys are gona start tracking this dude with camcorders on him and his crew.

[#808000]That Antlerick bull on MM is spectacular and a good story to go along with the bull. [/#808000]

[#808000]The Moss bull is gigantic but it is disgusting that someone can pay that kind of money to hunt an elk. It is also disgusting for a guide to have that many people working one animal, thats called herding not hunting. [/#808000]
[#808000][/#808000]
[#808000]This kind of crap will end up being the end of hunting as we have known it. Hunting is already becoming a rich mans sport with fewer and fewer DIY hunters every year. Just about every western state is managing some areas for trophy quality which I think is great, but if our youth don't get the opportunity to hunt eventually support for hunting will go away more than it already has. I just hope that things stay the same long enough for me to get the opportunity to hunt along side my children and teach them that hunting is not always about killing something.[/#808000]

Yea I agree with Scott. While that is a huge bull is is not very majestic to look at once you read about the "hunt". To me those elk hunts are like going to the grocery store and picking out a package of steaks. "oh that one looks pretty good, I take it".
I too have been hearing all these rumors about how these hunts go down and I sure hope that if they are true, he gets caught and punished. Not just a slap on the wrist. I have talked to DM in person and he seemed like a nice guy, but I have not heard too many good thing about him or his guides ethics. It's all about the dollars.
Back in '05 I drew a Manti archery tag and I looked into guide fees and for his outfit it was $6,000 for a 6 day hunt. Now that was providing food and lodging but still, $6,000 to have someone walk around with you and say shoot that one..... Come on! Instead I hunted with a buddy and killed a little guy, but it was way better than paying $6,000.

Brody I couldnt agree more... it used to not bother me but lately I have seen that money buys big animals... money buys records.. if you want to break a record just buy it...
so just thinking out loud, what if guiding was not allowed???? what would be the downside??? I have not completely thought this out but what if????

Yes I talked to him at a show. Way before the hunting/ payday part of the season. I'm sure his demeanor changes depending on when you talk to him.
