New user to the forum... 1st post. I've been a lurker for a week or so, glad to join the group.
Did anyone else turn into a popsicle and then get blown off the lake last weekend? It was miserable. It did clear up for about 45 minutes Sat. afternoon and we caught a few nice brookies by the hatchery... but wow... that was miserable.
I'm curious if anyone has been up there this week.

I was there Sat. morning. Fished 3 hours at the hatchery. The wind was howling. The water was stirred up, there were no fish caught while I was there by any of the five fishermen in the area. I heard it was good Friday evening before the wind came in so strong.

Some friends of mine just moved up there. She works for the F-n-G up there and he works off the coast but drives back to Idaho for his weeks off. He has been pumping out the Brookies the past couple of weeks, but he loves that kind of weather. Last year he had to break through a thin skiff of ice to get to them.
Henry's was very lacking this year but thank god for the end of the year BROOKIES. Nice picture and hold by the way.
Don't for get the GENERAL FLY FISHING BOARD here.

I made it to Henrys finally. Returned last night. Nasty weather over the 5 days, Friday to Tuesday, except for Sunday and Monday. Only fished Monday evening because the lake was literally pea soup for the first couple of days. High westerly winds blew in weeds and algae like I've never seen. Water started clearing a bit Monday at the state park as the wind switched to easterly. I managed one nice 4lb. Cutt Monday evening on a silver on silver #3 blue fox. A few were caught that same evening on fly rods and Tuesday morning from float tubes. Weather moved in and we split for Boise since we're in a tent trailer and rain/snow was forecasted for today. I've got photos to download and will do so soon.
