[cool]I was able to make it out to the lake after lots of traveling for hunting(no luck there) and fishing in Big Bear. Went out south of 33 hole and was able to get three 1.5lb stripers. They would boil every once in awhile. Usaully it was one or two fish. I got them on Gulp! 3" minnow grubs in white. There were a couple other boats close by using sassy shads to connect. It was good to be out in the tube again. Now if I can only catch the larger ones again. Sorry no pics; forgot the camera.

Sounds like fun! I've beem told that the Gulp baits are very productive but have never tried them in Lake Mead. Something on the "to do list".

Glad to hear you made it back safely, Whizzle. I've been out a couple times on a houseboat where the winds were high, and a rogue wave crashed onto the deck of the houseboat. Pretty scary. When the gusts hit 50 - 60 mph head for shore. Lots of white caps are typically a good sign that you should call it a day. Here's to low winds on your future trips!
Best regards,
Paul
