I have an Eskimo Quich Fish III and it's well worth the money.
Either the Quick Fish or the Ice Cube would be a good choice.
My QF was the first model and the poles were week.
The newer units that are now available are better.
It is best to have 2 people to put them up in wind. That's how mine broke the pole. The wind pushed it bach in before we could tie the tent down.
Both units are slow to move from one place to another, compared to a shelter with a floor, if you have it staked to the ice.
Have fun with which ever one you choose.

[Smile]Just received my new hunting blind, I mean ice hut, i mean... both. I Just received my yukon tracks hunters cabin hub blind today and it is huge inside yet only weighs about 35 lbs. I had planned on getting one of the eastman outfitters 4 man ice cube blinds but the cheapest I could find was around $200 dollars with shipping. I just happened to look at a couple of the hunting blinds that eastman outfitters makes and I got an idea. I decided to talk to my brother who uses portable hunting blinds all the time now and he felt confident that the blinds would be plenty warm and sturdy for ice fishing. Now that I have received it and set it up I would agree so far. It cost me 180 with standard shipping and I received it in rexburg less than a week after ordering it! I got it from Dick's Sporting Goods online www.dickssportinggoods.com and it was listed almost $100 cheaper than anywhere else. I will keep you all posted but I am way excited means how I also have three little kids that will love it....well atleast the older two.

Good luck,

P.S. blackening interior 2 layer windows (zippered and shoot through mesh..etc. 60 second set up or less....)

That looks awesome. I can't wait to try it out. You better screw that sucker down or you may have a repeat of the tumble down the ice that you had in my hut several years ago. I am also currious how strong the poles will be in extreme wind.

agreed! I bet that I have probably only gained 5 lbs or so since the last flight so I will certainly need to be careful. The poles, I know, have been an issue for other users of these types of ice huts and blind came with a 1 yr warranty so that should help. I also found out that it is made by the same company, www.ardisam.com, that makes the eskimo brand ice huts.
We need to figure out where we are headed.....

tried out the hut/hunting blind ( see previous posts). It worked Great!! So far it holds up and is actually extemely warm. Going to plan giving it a try tomorrow for a few hours before everything gets started. Also stuck an aqua vu down the hole at the rexburg nature pond and found out that it is loaded quite heavily with perch. Good Luck to everyone and Merry Christmas.
