Pelican Lake Help

I am out in Roosevelt until Saturday and have to take my brother in law fishing tomorrow. I was thinking that I would head down to Pelican in the morning. I have never done well through the ice and need some help. My brother in law hasn't ever caught a fish through the ice and I want to get him into some fish. If you could give me some help and what to use and were to fish that would be appreciated.
