make your own chum line
#1
Many times we go fishing and we have to wait on that first strike forever. Or sometimes the time inbetween strikes is so long that when our lines actually do get bitten we are slow on the draw. One way to increase the odds is by using chum or some sort of fish attractant. One good way of making that menhaden oil stretch is by soaking some dog chow pellets in the stuff. When you reach your spot, lower your oily chow overboard in some kind of net material sack. Dog chow breaks up after a while when it soaks in water, this creates an oily slick behind your boat that brings in the hungry and the curious and ultimately increases your chances.
