Hello
#1
I just joined this morning and am looking forward to gaining some information from you gents on the sport of fishing. I'm a handicapped sportsman and am constantly looking for adaptive gear to help on my outings. Great to be here!

God Bless,

Welcome to the site, Bigtime!

If you have any specific questions just ask and there are an awful lot of very experienced anglers on this site to advise you.

I have gained a wealth of knowledge from this site and continue to!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have a little 16' sea charmer with 40 hp Suzuki but can't take it out because I need power tilt. Nothing fancy, just a good used unit or used after market. Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions.

God Bless,

Bigtime.

Cabelas sells those in their catalog or you can access the online catalog at
www.Cabelas.com under marine equipment next to the outboard motor sales section. It is a simple install that you could either do yourself or any boat shop can handle it. Good luck with your project.

You know, they make a power tilt unit that turns a normally non-power tilt and trim motor into one. Check out the link below:

You're looking at around 700.00 for the complete kit w/ the transom clamp adaptor kit. Not a bad price if you consider that fact you'll be able to hit the water again. [cool]

I'll be spending about 500.00 on a battery system upgrade for my boat here in the very near future. You can track that upgrade on the boat forum a little further down the main page. I had rewired my boat as well, and digitally tracked the progressed and posted the details. Check it out if you get bored. LOL

Good call on Cabelas! The one I had posted right after you was over a 100 bucks more. [cool]

I found a unit here for $380.00 www.boatownersworld.com/CMC/pt-35.htm

That should do the trick and the install shouldn't be a problem. I have a game hoist that I can use to remove the motor and set it back down in the CMC.

Thanks and God Bless,

Of course I'd really rather find a used unit. If you gentlemen would, please keep your eyes open for one I'd really appreciate it.
