got this pickerel last spring..by far my largest pick.
took a quick pic and released it so dont know exact length or girth, what you think ? my kayak is 28" wide..
I need another mount for the wall.. thinking about getting this done.
Anyone get a pickerel mounted before? or have a taxidermist recommendation for these?

Nice looking fish. You know, you can get a replica made for a quarter of the price, with just your picture and estimated lenght and girth. Also, the fish gets to live to be caught another day. [cool]

Mmmm, 32-34" long maybe? About a 12" girth. Does that sound close?

Whatever length you decide to go with it will make a great mount! Thanks for sharing the pics. I'm no expert... not even close... but, I'd say since you didn't measure, it was probably closer to 40 inches! They get bigger once released. Thats how my releases work anyways... LOL! Again, thanks for the pics.

Do those things taste like northern pike? Looked like it was good dinner size.
As for replicas, see what your Taxi can make. Sometimes they come in minimum sizes..

I've been blowing my photos up to the same size as the fish ( with my fish that ain't hard ) and mounting them to a Foam Backing with Mounting Cement available at Arts and Crafts stores. The larger fish can be made at a digital printing store. They look better than it sounds and you can even get the 3d look depending on the picture and shadowing. A print of my Muskie was completed for around $45 dollars. Cheap in comparison. Hangs great on the wall and takes up less space. I used to hit my head on my Dorado until one day I came home and it was gone. Imagine that, I lost him 15 years after I hooked him. Some kind of record???. I hope he still hits that crook in the head sometimes...

Hey trigga,
Nice fish. You should get a replica made. Here is the web address for a guy that makes really good mounts.
