Got out of my truck at painted rocks at 8:30am. 19 degrees and sunny. Two other trucks in the parking lot. Walked over to the west side and drilled two holes in 14ft of water. Put on the biggest tube jig I had with me, tipped with a night crawler and dropped it in the hole. Immediately started getting hits. I caught 10 perch from 8-11 inches and was back in the truck at 10:15. A couple of guys that were there when I got there left at the same time with their limits of perch. They fished by the islands. It was a beautiful day for fishing. I'm going back tomorrow, but I think I'll get there about 10 or so and see how the fishing is then.
