Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
Whitebass fishing is excellent. The fish are being caught in the jumps
on assorted top-water baits. The bigger number and larger size are
being caught under the jumps on in-line spinners and jigging spoons.
Kentucky Lake has the best current and is producing better catches
this week. Crappie fishing has picked up. More fishermen are going
after the crappie and some fair catches are being taken on minnows
over 20' to 25' feet of water on both lakes. Largemouth are spotty at
best. Some big fish are being caught on the drops in Lake Barkley on
Carolina rigged plastic worms. Some of the seasoned catfishermen are
catching good fish on stink bait in the lakes and cut bait below the
dams. Bluegill are good early and late along deep cover. Nightcrawlers
and crickets are the better baits.

TIP: Watch for the bait fish to find the whitebass. When you find
good numbers of bait fish then the whitebass won't be far away.

BITS AND PIECES: If you think your too small to be effective, then
you've never been in bed with a mosquito.

www.kentuckylakebarkley.com
