Frozenover and I hit Pineview this morning. We were on the lake at about 6:45 am.
We parked across from the caretakers house and walked over to the other side of the narrows.
We started in 40' of water. We saw fish on the finder, but none would hit.
We moved around quite a bit. We drilled holes in at least 6 different spots.
Moved into 30' and out to 50'.
At 10:00 am James and I both caught two fish fairly quick and then that was it. For a time we could still see the fish on the finder, but they wouldn't hit.
We watched a lot of people move a lot throughout the day. No one seemed to be catching anything. Those that we talked to hadn't caught a thing.
I saw one guy catch one fish and that was it.
It ice was very strange. Total it was about 18". The first level was snow, then slush, and a small amount of solid ice.
Very slow day.
I sure wanted to find some crappies; but to no avail.
Maybe next weekend will be better.
