Hyrum SnowStorm 1/21
#1
With my boys being out of school, I had to take advantage of their day off.

Bad weather and all.

We got out there around 9:00'ish and really didn't want to pull the sled down that steep hill on the east side, so we just made a quick trip to the dam and walked along the south side. Lots of others out there on the ice, and the snow and breeze did not let up. We said heck with it and proceeded to drill a few holes and caught a whopping two trout. They were only about 10" long each, but they were very healthy looking so we let 'em go to get a little bigger.

Some folks just down from us had caught a few perch, but nothing too grand. Looked like a slow day, at least in that area.

After about an hour or so of putting up with mama nature, we decided that the bite was too slow to stick around. Good thing the reservoir is only a hop, skip, and jump away....we'll try it again this weekend. Oh yeah, the ice is starting to get thick...it's about time to invest in a power-auger. [Wink]
