YUBA 02/02/08
#1
Went to Yuba today with my dad. Arrived at the boat ramp at 7:30. By 8:00 we had our holes drilled and were sitting in the hut dropping tubes. Fishing was extremely fast! After an hour we tubed up some 3" glows to try for different species. Maybe a walleye or even a pike! After several holes we ended up on going back to perch. We caught our limit fairly quick then packed up and headed out. every fish was caught on a radical glow 2.25" or 3" tube jig in a little over 50' of water. Patrolled various depths with my second pole permit but no success.

[#808000]Man you are really starting to fit in with the Utah folks fishing for Perch, J/K LMAO. It does look like fun though, glad those Radical Glow tubes are working for you. Did your brother go with you or just your dad, either way it is good to spend a day with your old man he is a hell of a guy.[/#808000]

nah Brett was working. just calling for hourly checkups. Perch are a fun constant bite and damn good in the frying pan. One can't try to master only one species Brazure. We dont all have monster mac's an hour away. These lakes around here are like ice cities in Minnesota. Concentrate on fishing for a 1/2 hour and before you know it you're surrounded......

Nice perch BigBow, it looks like you were at the damn. If that is so, how was the ice? I too was at the Yuba, went to the painted rocks and had a ton of fun. Everything we caught were over 10 inches, most around 11 and 12 inches. Friend of mine had on get off at the ice that had to be over 14 inches.
