Tippy Dam Report
#1
Didn't do too bad [cool] !

I didn't want to leave , I think i quit counting the fish I had on after I was halfway thru my second spool of 4# test line .

I released 12 fish , all around 7# , not much bigger than that . None kept . I did have a Nice one on , guessing 12 to 14 lbs. , It took most of the first spool downriver from the spillway past the boatlaunch .
Bait used , waxworms under a slip bobber setup with a #20 hook and 4# Stren .

Nice. [Smile]

I only have one job for tomorrow. It's a disconnect in Manistee on a lawyers office that quit paying their bills (go figure[crazy]). I'm thinking your reports sounds like it might be well worth my while to take my rod and make the half hour drive over to Tippy once I'm fiinished.

Number 20 hook? Wow, that's a small one.... not sure I have any that size. Might have to make a run to the tackle shop. I need new line anyway.

Thanks for the report. How were the stairs? Should I bring the sled for the trip down?[Wink]

Coming up was a bit of a heart pumper , thought I was going to break the rod a few times .
It's a toboggen run .
I fished in the calmer water out from the coffer stairs and where the tree sticks out .
Then went down just before the bend and hit a few of the smaller holes before the boat ramp . Your line will come twards you but the extra reeling kept my hands warm .
