[green][cool]Attended subject show last weekend.[/green] [#008000]These Fly shows are all about the same. Lots of notable fly tiers doing their demos, manufacturers hawking their goodies, trips to exotic places, etc. So this year I decided to attend several seminars regarding how to fish certain areas. The one on Lake Crowley was rather interesting. The fellow used an under water camera to which was attached a wire [I guess something similar to a coat hanger] some tippet and a nymph. Showed how the trout would approach and either ignore the fly or make an attempt to grab the fly. If then came in horizonally their nose would hit the tippet first and kick the nymph away from the fish's open mouth. In this plane of attack their mouth would hardly open. When they approached on a 45ยบ angle up towards the fly their mouth would be fully opened and the fly would hit their mouth before their nose touch the tippet. As I said quite interesting.
