Scofield 3/9 sunday

Did not look good to fish scofield sunday because my auger finally died. I have a manual auger but my herniated disc makes it hard for me to make holes so i figured i would look for some companyMy brother in law was off so he joined me and my son.We got there about 830am we saw some holes from saturday so we opened them up and used them.We got steady bites all morning till about 11330pm. My son caught 2 bows and a cutt that was the biggest fish of the day and of course he got bragging rights again![] My brother in law caught 3 bows and i caught 3 bows too. The cutt almost took the rod down since he hit so hard. It was a nice day we were in t-shirts most of the day .The fish took all kinds of jigs and bait . The bites were kight so we used strike indicators that helped since we could not get any to stick to the hooks.[]

Good to see you caught some fish. Good to see your son is having fun fishing. I've been sick all week and was hoping someone would post on Scofield. Is the ice holding up alright?

Ice is about 18-20 inches thick. We did manage to break through 6 holes with the hand auger. I forgot i did catch a couple of tigers but thet were about 10 inches so back hey went to grow bigger.My son is having a lot of fun ice fishing and he wants to go to the berry next so i guess thats were we will hit next.

Sounds like you had a great time there. Me and a friend were also there fishing and had a ball we opened up some holes we found and no sooner we had lines in the water we started pullin fish out. We caught 8 bows, 4 cutts, and 8 tiggers nothing under 15inches our biggest was a 23inch bow I caught while tryin to eat my sandwich. We were usin night crawler the whole time. It was about every 15-20 mins we were pullin in a fish. It was a beautiful day and a great day of fishin. We are hopin for the ice to stay good cause we discussing goin back on Friday or Saturday.

Mostly packed snow where i was no real wet slush ontop that i saw but when me and my friend left the crusty snow was starting to get soft.

The slush didnt appear tillway after 12 and it wasnt bad.The walk back to the car wasnt bad either because the slush was under the snow and the top of it was still hard.It probably will be this way in the mornings because of the cold temps at night.
