I was wondering what the bass are doing this time of year? Largemouth in particular, but wouldn't mind to know about small as well. I went out for largemouth the on saturday at stansbury but they didn't seem to be along the shore? My buddy caught one, me none. I know it's still cold but some of you guys are catching them? What techniques work in the cold? Are they holding up or cruising? Thanks in advance. We were throwing plastics and little plugs, slow along the shoreline.

Give it a week or two and they will start moving around more out there once the temps raise. Sounds like your using the right techniques, go weightless and really slow.

Are they just tight lipped right now or not in the area(shallows)?
Thanks.

bass should be shallow somewhat right now getting ready for prespawn, but if your bank fishing you are some what limited to spots, so the best you can do is fish slow and thoroughly in each spot you fish at
