I didn't fish but I did go down to the fish ladder for a fishing report today.
About 6 people shore fishing and 2 boats in the water. I saw 2 fish go through the fish ladder after only 5 minutes of waiting. Talked to one of the regular guys down there. He said the bite was slow but that it was picking up. He also said that his buddy that fishes the Rouge river (further upstream) was starting to catch a few as well. Floating spawn bags and wax worms on small jigs are working best.
Water levels are still to high and fast for using wadders at the 6th street dam. 100 feet down river after the second breaker is ok for wadding.
