Do you have a link for the 08' booklet. I can only find the 07' book online. Daybreak's little lake is called "Oquirrh Lake" is it listed under that name instead?

I was told that Day Break would be closed for a while.
The pond wasn't ready to open and work still needs to be done.
It will reopen after all the work is complete.
Not this year though.
If someone has any other information, please chime in.

There will be ongoing work at and around the lake for years.

Already, the lake is about 3 times bigger than it was last year.

The lake now forms an island and a long arm that extends north about a mile. I don't think that any of the new parts of the lake will be accessible this year to shore fisherman (much like the island was off limits last year). At some point homes will be built on the island, and small shops and restaurants will over look the lake.

This goes for all our waters in Utah, but please be considerate and pick up your trash and be respectful when you fish there. It is used by many people for more than just fishing, and because of the trash and other things that happened last summer (people cleaning fish along the shore, foul language, etc.) fisherman really got a bad rap from some of the more vocal residents of Daybreak. Some Daybreak residents are upset and petitioned Kennecot Land that the lake should be closed to fishing entirely. Remember, this and many other community ponds are part of neighborhoods

When I first read this post about it not being listed in the community fishing guide, I feared that this had actually happened. It is good news that it really is still listed.

I sent an email to someone in an administrative role at Daybreak asking why Oquirrh Lake was no longer listed in the DWR's community fishing guide.

I was told that Kennecott Land canceled the contract with the DWR to stock the lake. Since the DWR is no longer stocking the lake, it is no longer listed by the DWR.
