I took yesterday(3/25) off and headed up to Scofield. Got there at 6:00. Temp was fourteen degrees. Headed out towards the island in the dark and got set up. I was in 9 feet of water, using a white jighead tipped with crawler or cured trout roe. Action was slow for the most part. Best action between 8 and 10. Walked out to the island. Caught two out there. Moved around alot looking for fish, but they just weren't cooperating. Came off the ice at 4:00pm. Fifteen fish for the day. One cut, one tiger, rest bows.

Ice is holding up well with 8-10 inches of crusted snow, 12 inch almost frozen slush layer on 18 inches of solid ice. It takes just about all of the auger to get through. Edges are solid with no signs of water yet.

hope this helps,
Chester
