HEY DOES ANYONE HAVE AN UPDATE ON SCOFEILD?? IS THERE STILL SAFE ICE??? OR UNSAFE ICE AND NO OPEN WATER? OR IS THERE SOME OPEN WATER AROUND THE EDGES?? IM LOOKING TO HIT THE WEST SIDE AS SOON AS THE ICE STARTS COMING OFF HELP ME OUT WITH ANY INFO THAT ANYONE MAY HAVE...THANKS.

I fished it 3/25. No open water. Edges are solid. Ice is safe. Fishing - fair.

It will be a while before the west side opens up.

Theres a good 20" of ice there under the couple ft of snow / slush. It will be a long time before you see open water there... at least 5 weeks I'd guess.

Things are a bit later this year. I would say 2-3 weeks for West side open water. I'm stoked for it as well. Ice be gone!

Any machines out on the ice, snowmobiles or four wheelers? I'm headed up for the weekend.

There was a snow machine on the ice that was doing just fine. I don't know how a wheeler would do as it gets a little soggy in the PM.
