shore spots
#1
hey, just getting excited for the season to start up again. anyone know of any good shore spots in the govt wash to calville area? found a good one last year down boxcar but always used to go out to stewarts point to get good shore action (dont really like drivin that far if i dont have to though). anyone know about how much longer it will be before those stripers head up to shallower waters?

I'm guessing we've got another couple of weeks before the south end of the lake gets shad boils.

Check out Willow Beach in the meantime while the trout action is still hot. [Image: fish-on.gif]

Don't know much about what's happening on the lake right now. I do know that I'll be back on the water this weekend to check it out after two months of waiting. First thing I'm going to do is look for shad. If that does not work out well, chum-a-ton and soak frozen shad. Most likely it will be small school sized stripers if anything at all. I'll let ya know how it turns out.

If the stripers aren't cooperating, you ought to try throwin some topwaters or some 1/4oz jigs back in the coves of vegas wash for some largemouth early in the am. the bass guys have been tearin up lake mead. fishing report said a dude caught an 8 1/2 lber in a tourney. won $32,000. S-O-B....[Wink] im gonna try to get out this week.
