The warm weather Monday pushed me up into the mountains where I found this beaver pond made of willows. It was stacked up with about 30 nice size trout. After 30 frustrating minutes produced a single 4 inch brown I give in to the dog and let her have her swim. The stream however rewarded me with about a dozen mostly 15-16 inch fish in a couple hours. OK I thought this new version of BFT was supposed to resize the photos for camera and computer illiterates like me.

nice looking creek, i love fishing those big beaver dams early in the year.

Returned to give it another go at the beaver pond twice this week. Did a bit better including this bow that was fattening up in the pond. Despite all the snow it's quite warm up in the mountains during the day. The fishing on the stream was very fast yesterday. Great time of year to get out with the dogs and enjoy the high country before the crowds of summer show up.
