Was there last year and won't miss this year. I can think of no better use of my boat for the day.

How about a quick overview of the program Kent. Do you volunteer your boat/equipment and take kids out fishing for the day? Is it available to bank fisherman? I need more info man![Wink]

Yes one volunteers their boat and takes out handicapped children and their parents. One must have a boat to be able to participate in the fishing part of the activity, or it is possible to help out on a boat or help with the many other needs on shore.

Boats aren't the only thing thats needed. There are alot of things that are done besides on the water. There are prizes for the kids, a bbq, and transportation among others things that need to be attended.

im going to take my son and do this, i also want to smoke a bunch of fish to take there so they can taste the fruits of fishing so if anyone wants to donate some fish they catch, close to that date, I will smoke them and take a cooler of fish for them to enjoy.

So if any fishermen want to donate thier catch for that weekend send me a PM and i will smoke them a couple of days before the event.

I feel obligated to join in this but i am having serious doubts if my boat is large enough to accomidate a disabled child and parents. It is pretty small. Any thoughts?

If you have room for one child and one parent that would probably work. Just let them know how much room you have.
