Dam Fishing
#1
Hey everyone-- first post here.

I am new to river and stream fishing, and I am going to fish a headwaters this afternoon. I will be fishing at a dam and am looking for some quick tips. Most importantly, is it better the fish above or below the dam, and how far from the dam should I fish?

In the spring many fish run up stream and spawn near dams. I like fishing with a bulletbobber in the currents because you can steer your bait around and don't need to recast. They also work well for soft baits like twister tails without bait if the current keeps them moving.

Hope this helps and good luck fishing.
