[font "Comic Sans MS"][size 2][#002850]After reading about a few good musky catches on Pineview already this year, and Bait_Caster having a new Trophy fishing boat that needed some more breaking in, BC and I decided to try our luck for some musky ourselves. We were on the water at about 7:00 AM. Since I had a chance to talk to Jacksonman a couple days ago when he had caught a nice musky on what sounded like a bass lure, we decided to rig up for casting parallel along the banks where we had caught some before. Basically, we wasted our morning casting and getting nothing. So, about mid morning, we decided to switch over to trolling. Within a half hour, over along the south shore, I had hooked into a big brute but she shook me loose. Boy I find that frustrating!
The next hour, we were trolling over around Cemetery Point when I finally connected. But this time he was just a pup about 28 inches.

He had some great green colors but his tail was all torn up. I wonder why some tiger musky tails are like that. There is one bad mount over in Sportsmans like that.
The large musky took a small perch Rapala and the small musky took a large perch Rapala.
We had a great day fishing the View. The morning water was glass and the early afternoon was windy and rough.
We didn't get the water temp because of technical difficulties but I suspect that it was no higher than 50*.
Bait_Caster, thanks much for the great day fishing one of my favorite waters. Your new Trophy is SWEET to say the least.
