Animal activists in the news.

[#000000][size 4]Peta et al - at it again. This time (as in the past it seems) they openly advocate violence against researchers themselves.

My favorite link in response to PETA and their unnatural affinity toward chickens.

I wonder at what point legal authorities will have had enough, and actaully do something about PETA?

I'm all for treating animals with respect. Not beating your dog, not caging your cat for days/weeks/months on end. Heck, I even think farm animals should be treated somewhat decently.

However, I also think research on animals - as long as it's not outright cruel and unnecessary (like for women's make-up) - is a good thing. So many things have been done to help humans, from animal experimentation. For instance, I was going to have heart surgery, and they were going to use a pig valve in me... now, while I can't stand the taste of bacon, I'm all for having pork IN me, and getting to live an extra 40 years [Wink]
(never had the surgery, in case you're wondering... I'm 100% human for now)

Maybe that's Peta's problem. They're compassion is for animals ONLY, and they don't care about humans at all? Now it all makes sense! LOL
