Berry last time
#1
We hit the Berry today(sat). Got there around 0700 parking lot was empty. We took the snowmobiles and headed across the lake. The lake was very solid we had no problems at all. The fishing was non stop til around 1000am then its like some one throwed a switch. We couldnt buy a bite. WE drilled holes from 6ft of water to over 40ft. Nothing even moved twice to different areas and still nothing. So we left to come home around 2:00. Probably will be my last ice trip as I've got the boat packed and everything ready to hit the Gorge next week-end. So if any of ya still have the ice bug the Berry is still good.

How much ice? Are we still up around 30 inches? With the cold weather we got, I don't suspect it has gotten much less.

When was the last time people could take snowmobiles out there the last week of April up there? I bet it's been a few years.

Ya its crazy almost the 1st of may and still taking snowbiles out on the ice. So much for global warming theory.[Wink] If im not at the Gorge next week-end I'll be back out on the Berry with the snowbiles MAY3 3rd[shocked]

Air temp: 22 degress when we got there 30 degress when we left. It was windy all day.

Ice depth: I took an extension just in case but it was not needed im guessing around 30 inches some layers of slush as you drill down but pretty solid non the less.

We were using everything in the box from 8-9am everything worked but I probably caught the most on Radical glow pink/white tipped with mealies, minnows were allso working.

Good-luck
