I'm back and what a trip...

I looked at the view cam to see what it looked like well it looked good no white caps and very little wind...(Was I wrong)

By the time I got to the east side of the valley I was in a snow storm and parleys well lets let the pictures tell that part...

Got to the top of the boat ramp and all I could see is white caps, The air temp was 25 and my boat was or had ice all over even on my fishing line...

After waiting around for a few min. I launched the boat and put on all the closes I had to keep warm...

The fishing was better then I thought it would be I got fish as soon as I started well rainbows at least picked up 5 or 6 right off and then I got one that was putting up a good fight, Oh yes a smallie at last I did the bass yank in the boat and grabbed the line but when I tried to lip the bass it came off and back in the water...

I did get a few pictures but not a lot in the cold and blowing wind the water was 39 to 42 for the most part, I was cold and wind blown and headed for home at about 12:30 or 1:00 the wife put the cord for the camera up so as soon as I can I'll send them over to TD to post....And yes cold front or not fishing is fun..

Re: [StrictlyBiznuss] Cold frount fishing
I tried three or four lures but the drop shot and gulp minnow was working the best and was the only thing I got any thing on or had a bite on...

I caught 15 to 25 fish all but one was bows with the one bass all fish was from 12" to 16" I would say didn't put a tape on any just a look...

And all came from 5' to 25' deep..

Dang !! It looks like it was cold out there. Cool pics & I love the dog. I need to train my dog so she can go fishing. Im afraid she would freak out and jump in. Great pics & good job on getting fish in those conditions.

It was cold and the wind chill was bad at times but when the fish are biting its not so noticeable...

My dog likes to swim and that is why I tie her in when I find a good spot with fish, she did go swimming two times today she will brake ice so she can swim...

Cliff great pics & way to show mother nature who's got the snowballs in the family.... just one observation and I am probably WRONG but it looks like the tags on your boat are expired.... [:/] - I know you probably have them but haven't had a chance to put them on in the snowstorm.

Watch out for our fellow BFT'ers - we're all in the same boat... [Wink]

Sounds like a great time! Pooches are welcome at the Nelle? My pup likes to travel and swim, but it seems most every res has a "no pooches" sign... If they are welcome at the Nelle, she will be mighty happy.

Yes you can take dogs out on the Nelle. I learned that the hard way when I tried to take mine to Deer Creek first.

Anyone know a logical reason why some waters have rules against taking your dog out on your boat. That just never made much sense to me.

They are as long as you keep them on a lease in the docks and parking lots or if your shore fishing...
