Made a trip to visit the in-laws at the first of the week and took all the cousins to Gogliotti Pond in Helper.
I stayed busy all morning taking fish off lines, baiting hooks, unsnagging lines and pulling kids out of the water. We caught all kinds of planter trout with the occasional albino using various bait, spinners and flies.
It makes me a proud father when my oldest boy (10 years old) can do everything on his own from baiting his hook to throwing it out and the gently (most of the time) releasing of the fish. At one point he had caught 16 fish on 16 consecutive casts. He was quite proud of that.
There were some monster albino trout that would porpoise out of the water every so often that the young ones enjoyed watching just as much as the fishing itself.
We also made our first trip to Lost Creek Reservoir on Saturday night. We weren't quite sure where to go and ended up fishing at the end of the arm where the ramp is located. We picked up a couple using a wooley bugger tipped with a worm. It was fun to try a new place.
