CONCORD, N.H. -- Are you looking for a fun way to get outside with family and friends this summer? Why not learn how to fish! The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department's "Let's Go Fishing" Program and the Greenland Recreation Department are teaming up to provide an introductory fishing class that will teach you all you need to know about a recreational activity that everyone in the family can enjoy -- even if you don't know the first thing about rigging a rod and finding a fishing hole.
<br>This Introduction to Fishing class will be held on Saturday, June 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Sunday, June 22, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Greenland Central School, 70 Post Road, Greenland, N.H. The class is open to anyone; however, those 16 and under should be accompanied by an adult. Reserve your spot by contacting instructor Cindy Smith at (603) 436-3769. The class is free, and registration is first-come, first-served. All equipment and materials will be provided. You do not need to have a fishing license to participate.<br>
<br>Saturday will be spent at the Greenland Central School, where you will learn about equipment, safety, knot tying, fish identification, basic ecology and different casting techniques. On Sunday we will head out to the local lake and put your newly learned skills to the test!<br>
